"Think tank" has always seemed like an appealing, aspirational, unattainable. idea to me. Something reserved for people with a lot more letters after their names than I've earned. But last week I have the privilege of joining an incredible letter-laden group of thinkers with UX for Good in an effort to improve the experience of families touched by pediatric cancer.
Some observations: -It is truly jaw-dropping what small group of experienced thinkers with passion for the challenge at hand can accomplish in a small amount of time. -It feels good to optimize systems for human thriving. -There is an entire world, formerly invisible to me, of strategic, creative people doing this work. -The creativity, skill and perspective cultivated in a commercial environment can be applied with great impact in this world.
