🚀Reflecting on last week's Step Conference, which brought together key innovators from the MENA region and Silicon Valley at STEP San Francisco, I’m so excited about the evolving dynamics of emerging markets and what they mean for innovation and investment.

🔍What defines an 'emerging' market? It’s not just about growth potential but also about a market’s journey toward maturity. Many consider MENA already emerged, moving rapidly towards its next phase of development. A key driver of this evolution is its progressive regulatory environment that fosters innovation, creating a fertile ground for startups and investors alike.

💡According to Mohammed Almeshekah from Outliers Venture Capital, international investors now account for over 40% of capital deployed in the region, a significant increase from just five years ago. This demonstrates global confidence in MENA's current landscape and future opportunities.

A huge thank you to Ray Dargham, Venus Kaassamani and the rest of the STEP team for crafting such a thoughtful program for the conference featuring leading ecosystem players and investors excited about MENA. It was also fantastic to spend time with our clients and partners like Hub71 from the region that participated in the conference as well. Mohammed Alkhoori Divya Claudia N. Farid Khreino

And last but not least, thank you to my incredible panelists for joining me on stage for a meaningful discussion around emerging markets and investing in diverse founders.
