Sara Zarny is a healthcare professional committed to providing accessible and value-based health care. Sara pursued her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Management at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She also holds a Bachelor's degree with a focus on Psychology, History, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, she studied Psychology at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS).
Throughout her career, Sara has held significant roles in various organizations, such as serving as the Director of RFP Excellence Office and Director of Strategic Initiatives at UnitedHealthcare. She also gained experience as a Product Development Graduate Intern at Mass General Brigham, a Senior Associate, and Associate at Grant Thornton LLP, a Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis, a Practicum Student at Østerbro International School, and a Policy and Planning Intern at Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS.

In reflecting on my Master of Public Health program at Harvard, I cannot thank enough my mentors and peers for the incredible formal and informal education I’ve gained as a professional and healthcare advocate. I am thrilled to take my next career step with UHC and begin working with my talented colleagues to drive even further impact for Medicaid and other Community & State programs across the country.
