Sarah Burke

Director, Indigenous Programming at Canadian Red Cross

Sarah Burke is a dedicated professional with a strong focus on co-creation for preventing and responding to risks and hazards, particularly within Indigenous communities with a northern and remote perspective.

Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Leading Innovation and Change from York St. John University in the UK, a BA in English from the University of Victoria, and a Diploma in Journalism from Vancouver Community College (VCC).

Currently, Sarah Burke serves as the National Director of Indigenous Programming for Canadian Operations at the Canadian Red Cross. Previously, she held roles as the Senior Manager of Community Integrated Development and Director of Western Canada RespectED within the same organization.

Sarah Burke's ultimate goal is to support and stand with communities, encouraging action from within to establish sustainable structures and drive progress in a protective manner.
