Sarah Conway is a climate and conservation finance expert who was recently appointed as Head of the Ecosystem Resilience practice and Director in the Disaster Risk Finance / Parametrics unit within WTW's Climate and Resilience Hub (CRH).1

Prior to joining WTW, Conway had over 15 years of experience in climate and conservation finance. She served as the Lead Climate Finance Negotiator for the U.S. delegation to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, including at COP21 in Paris.1 During her time at the U.S. Department of State, she supported U.S. involvement with the Green Climate Fund and Global Environment Facility, and helped design and launch the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance and the Pilot Auction Facility for Methane and Climate Change Mitigation.1

Most recently, Conway ran her own consultancy, specializing in innovative climate and conservation finance solutions. Her work included projects related to systematic observations and early warning systems, climate-smart urban infrastructure, ecosystem conservation, and livelihood protection, collaborating with leading international institutions.1

Conway's expertise spans climate, nature, finance, and policy, making her well-suited for her role at WTW, where she aims to design, deploy, and scale financial instruments that benefit people, nature, and climate.1
