Sarah Fatherly is an accomplished academic professional with a strong background in American History.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in American History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she also completed her Master of Arts (MA) in History. Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History and women's studies from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Sarah has held various key positions in academic institutions, including her current role as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Queens University of Charlotte.

Her previous roles at Queens University of Charlotte include Professor of History, Interim Dean of the James L. Knight School of Communication, Interim Dean of the Hayworth School of Graduate and Continuing Studies, Associate Provost & Dean of University Programs, and Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs & Dean of University Programs.

Prior to her tenure at Queens University of Charlotte, Sarah was actively engaged at Otterbein University, where she served as Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs & Dean of University Programs, Integrative Studies Program Chair, History and Political Science Department Chair, Associate Professor of History, Director of Women's Studies, and Assistant Professor of History.
