This Sunday I am taking Great Strides for cystic fibrosis.
Cystic fibrosis is a condition that affects 3600 Australians. 1 in 2500 babies are born with CF, just like the cutie in this photo.
There is no cure.
So many people have heard of cystic fibrosis, but don’t necessarily know what it is. I hope to change that. At Cystic Fibrosis Community Care, we hope to change that.
CF causes an abnormal build-up of thick and sticky mucus in the lungs, airways and digestive system. Treatment requires intensive daily physiotherapy to clear the lungs and airways, countless medications and frequent hospitalisations.
Today I’m asking if you can help?
Great Strides is one of our major annual fundraising walks. Our goal is to raise $150,000 to support people living with cystic fibrosis and to work towards a future where CF stands for Cure Found.
