Want to bust out of money prison?
Financial challenges can feel like you're looking out at the world though bars that are keeping you from joy, freedom, control, ease. I get it. I was there. Creating a plan is the key to that prison. And not just any plan. YOUR plan. A plan that works with your circumstances, lifestyle and values. A restrictive budget dictates by someone else is not my jam. I help you create a conscious money plan that feels powerful, manageable and freeing.
There is a shift that happens when you start living into this plan. You trust yourself. You dreams start to take form. It creates Eudaemonic pleasure which is a different kind of pleasure than the quick hit dopamine that we’re used to. It’s a calmer deeper kind of pleasure that is there all the time. It is more stable and calm than the highs and lows of the dopamine hits.

Money is such a personal taboo topic in our culture. We're told it's not polite to talk about money. We don't confide in friends if we're experiencing financial difficulties. Shame and guilt have us shackled.
We don't talk about how much we make and in some workplaces it's often against policy to share how much you make with colleagues (don't get me started about how this perpetuates discrimination of all kinds). These practices protect the patriarcy.
I learned once that the first 8 seconds of a hard conversation feel the most stressful for us when we are initiating. 8 SECONDS!!! That's how long cowboys have to sit on a bucking bronc. That's basically just opening your mouth and starting to talk. The amount of stress we hold onto resisting that 8 seconds is astounding.
When I have shared openly to my support network that society would deem 'inappropriate', I've been met with 'OMG ME TOO' more times than I can remember. Almost everyone has a relatable story. This creates connection, camaraderie, community and guess what, we're wired to connect with our fellow humans.
So if you're struggling with finances, I encourage you to talk to someone for 8 seconds and start to loosen the grip.
If you don't know if you can talk to anyone in your community, talk to me. I'm here. https://lnkd.in/gA6Qp6S8
