Sarosh Olpadwala is the Director of Real Estate in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) in the District of Columbia, overseeing a diverse portfolio of over 90 District-based development and infrastructure projects worth approximately $11 billion.

He manages acquisitions, asset management, leasing, negotiations, dispositions, and development for projects ranging from small condominiums to large initiatives like the Anacostia Waterfront redevelopment.

In addition to real estate, Sarosh handles the Office of Public Private Partnerships (OP3) and economic development finance vehicles like Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and tax abatements.

During his tenure, Sarosh has completed 54 projects totaling over $2.5 billion in development value, including notable projects like the DC United soccer stadium and the Entertainment & Sports Arena.

He prioritizes community engagement and inclusion in public solicitations, aiming to increase access to development opportunities for underrepresented groups.

Sarosh focuses on maximizing public value and community benefits in land dispositions and financing deals, emphasizing affordable housing, economic development, job creation, and support for local businesses.

He leads a team known for their open, transparent, responsive, and service-oriented approach to serving residents and businesses in the District of Columbia.

Before his current role, Sarosh gained experience in both the public and private sectors, with positions at SIGAL Corporation, Norcross Boldt, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Cherokee Investment Partners, and Clark Construction.

He holds an MBA in Real Estate Finance & Development and a Bachelor's degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering (ORIE) from Cornell University, as well as a LEED™ Accredited Professional certification.
