Sarote Tabcum Jr.

CEO at VFX Technologies | CTO at Voltron Global

Sarote Tabcum Jr. is a tech entrepreneur, producer, and photographer known for his role as the CEO of VFX Technologies. With a background in electrical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Sarote's journey into the tech world was influenced by his father's entrepreneurial ventures and technical expertise.

In the early nineties, Sarote began his career as an engineer in TV and film post-production, where he saw the potential of supercomputer-based VFX systems in transforming small creative shops. Recognizing the financial barrier these systems posed to smaller businesses, he embarked on a mission to acquire and rent out high-performance computing solutions to empower smaller creative ventures against industry giants.

Through hard work and determination, Sarote's groundbreaking approach led him to launch his first Media and Entertainment venture, which eventually evolved into VFX Technologies. Over the years, his company has supported numerous VFX shops and studios in delivering blockbuster films and TV projects, catering to prestigious motion picture studios and Fortune 500 companies. Sarote remains committed to democratizing high-performance computing for a wider audience.

Apart from his role at VFX Technologies, Sarote has held influential positions in organizations such as Voltron Global, Vistage Worldwide, Inc., and Visual Effects Society. He has also been associated with esteemed industry bodies like the Producers Guild of America.
