This year I’m attending the #r3dot0 conference at Pakhuis de Zwijger. I am learning from wonderful speakers on regeneration and redistribution.
Really, what I’m learning is that a regenerative system already exists - in innovative farming projects of smallholder farmers, in resilient communities who support each other in times of hardship, in the thousands year old practices of indegenious people, who are truly the guardians of our Earth 🌎
I am also (re)learning that there is no quick fix. If we take a wider lens, we see that humanity not only is in its infancy, but also that there is still tremendous healing which needs to take place on an individual and collective level. One insight from one of the speaker that stuck with me: ‘do the work on yourself so that you do not become work for other people’ - thank you Vanessa Andreotti for this gem.
I am grateful for and inspired by this opportunity to learn and excited for what day 2 will bring!
