Saskia Vossenberg is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in advising financial institutions, development banks, impact investors, and policy makers on gender inclusive finance, impact investing, and women's entrepreneurship development.

With a strong research background, Saskia focuses on analyzing the aspects, features, and impact of inclusive innovations on women-led businesses in developing economies. Her expertise spans strategy development, evidence-based business case development, gender transformative approaches in inclusive finance, gender smart market research, due diligence, and impact assessments using mixed methods and interdisciplinary approaches.

Saskia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Gender, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam. She also completed a Master's degree in Political Science & Gender Studies at Universiteit van Amsterdam / University of Amsterdam.

Throughout her career, Saskia has held key roles in various organizations, including leading Gender-Migration and Remittances at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF). She served as a Senior Advisor in Gender Finance at FMO, a Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, and as a Senior Advisor & Researcher in Gender, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Inclusion at KIT Royal Tropical Institute.

Saskia also had affiliations with organizations such as CFIA - LDE Centre for Frugal Innovation in Africa, Endeva, Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO.nl), NIMD - Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy, Maastricht School of Management, CARE International, and several others, where she contributed her expertise in gender, women's entrepreneurship, and inclusive business.

Her extensive professional background includes roles as a PHD Researcher, Lecturer in Social Entrepreneurship & Social Policy, Consultant in Gender and Women's Political Empowerment, External Research Fellow at Maastricht School of Management, Program Manager in Women's Entrepreneurship Promotion, Interim Director, and various advisory and consultancy positions in organizations working for social development.
