Sathvik Nair

Computational Linguistics PhD student | NSF GRFP Fellow

Sathvik Nair is a PhD student at the University of Maryland, specializing in computational linguistics with a keen interest in leveraging large language models to understand human language comprehension and enhance language technologies. He is a recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.

Prior to his doctoral studies, Sathvik worked as a software development engineer at AWS's Elastic Block Store in Boston. He holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley, where he graduated with Highest Honors.

Sathvik's educational journey includes studying at San Jose City College and Leland High School in addition to his higher education.

He has held various roles in prestigious organizations, including being a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, a Honors Thesis Student at UC Berkeley, a Software Development Engineering Intern at Workday, and a Data Science Intern at Applied Materials, among others.
