I recently searched for a few car models on #Spinny, but found nothing available. As a seasoned used car buyer, I understand the value of patience. However, now all the smart algorithms (Google Ads, Instagram, Twitter) are bombarding me with Spinny ads, amplifying my disappointment each time I see them. I wish these algorithms could forget my interest in buying a used car.

On a different note, I shared a reel about protein-rich breakfast options with my wife on Instagram. Now, Instagram’s engagement-driven algorithm is flooding my feed with similar reels, to the point of being intrusive. I wish Instagram and similar platforms would give me a fresh start.

I’ve had similar experiences with Google Discover as well.

These high-quality #AI powerhouses seem less smart and more like overzealous salespeople driven by their own greed.

What options do I have 1) Put the phone down and pick up a book, call up a friend, go for a long drive. 2) Find out "forget me" hacks on these systems and keep using them. 3) Start worrying about #AI's objective/goal driven structure and if it can be creepy now, what else it can be.

All three i guess.

"I have 20 lakhs in total, ask whenever you feel the need of it, I will send it to you, no question asked" said by a dear friend Amit Khullar way back in 2009, just before I started my company. I somehow sailed through this entrepreneurship journey, and never asked for that money, but the statement was definitely the most comforting thing anybody said to me ever.

It’s remarkable how such simple yet profound gestures can make a lasting impact. Amit’s offer wasn’t just about money; it was a vote of confidence, a safety net, and a reminder that you weren’t alone on this path.

Tag your friend :-)
