I am so excited to announce the launch of my new project, Pretty Tasty Tea, a line of rejuvenating black tea with collagen. If you know me well, you will know that I love collagen. Not just for the glowy skin, thick hair and healthy nails… but also because it symbolizes care for yourself and others in my culture. In Chinese culture, you express love with food. The most important person at the table gets the drumstick, the fish cheek, and… the collagen (usually in the form of a beef tendon, fish maw etc.). Consuming collagen through food isn’t as easy in our everyday lives and so I switched to using powdered collagen in my morning coffee. However, the collagen wouldn’t dissolve well and would often cause my coffee to taste a bit “brothy”. Pretty Tasty is just delicious iced black tea (ode to my favourite “juice box” growing up), without the grittiness or flavour of collagen, but all the benefits. Of course, it’s also very pretty to hold in your hand or have in your fridge. I hope that everyone will love the product as much as I do. I want to thank my partners in crime, Chris Taylor and Chase Slepak, for making this process so much fun.
