Now feast your eyes on the best billboard of all time 😂 - I still need to find a way to get a fridge magnet of this
Hello Friends, colleagues, customers, and future colleagues ;). After the last 6 years, it’s bittersweet to announce that I was part of the reduction in force from #Iterable last week.
Looking back at my path with the customer success team, it's exciting to think about all we accomplished together as a business. I joined when we had $15M in annual recurring revenue and contributed to what is now over $200M ARR.
Of course numbers are nice, growing from a few hundred customers to now over 1000+, but it's what's behind the numbers that is so much more meaningful. Developing processes from scratch was rewarding, especially being able to reflect back on those successful rollouts years later.
However, what really stands out - flipping through the mental rolodex - is how we used to sit on floors in a packed office, because there weren't enough conference rooms, to actually having an office with real signs on the walls instead of scotch tape printer paper mosaic art.
Personally, I do miss that cheerfully kitschy printer paper, but growing up isn't a bad thing. I’ve grown by hiring amazing CSMs, renewing tens of millions per year and building friendships that will last a lifetime.
Thank you to everyone who grew me over this journey through fearless feedback, mentorship and coaching. From product, engineering, sales, finance, operations, marketing, ps, support, enablement, and people teams - working with all of YOU in these orgs has allowed me to gain a plethora of experience and exposure that prepares me for this next chapter.
For what's next - I’m excited for new opportunities to help build a company, its people and its bottom-line, leveraging my strengths in people management and revenue growth.
Now is a great time to try new things and get out to see what the big wide world has to offer. If you know of teams hiring for “a builder”, reach out to me.
Much love, Scott
