Scott Morton is a dedicated and knowledgeable individual who recently achieved LEED ND Silver Certification for The Gulch project in Nashville, TN. Serving as the project manager for the LEED ND submission, he played a crucial role in making it the first LEED ND certified project in the South and one of the pioneering ten in the entire United States. Scott Morton is adept at identifying creative solutions and sustainable design strategies, with a strong focus on various types of developments such as Traditional Neighborhood Developments, Urban Design, Affordable Housing, Conservation Communities, Mixed-Use projects, Military Housing, Design Guidelines/Pattern Books, and Transit-Oriented Developments. He has also been actively involved in industry-leading initiatives, including the 2003 Kentlands re-charrette with Duany Plater Zyberk & Company, the Annual Congress for New Urbanism in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2008, Greenbuild 2007, DPZ's Light Imprint Workshop, and numerous Urban Land Institute Events. Scott Morton has engaged with local advocacy groups to promote sustainability, mass transit, traffic calming, and neighborhood initiatives. His specialties lie in New Urbanism, Traditional Neighborhood Design, Sustainable Communities, and he is a LEED Accredited Professional. Scott completed his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Mississippi State University and has held positions such as Urban Planner I Landscape Architect at Smith Gee Studio, Design Studio at Nashville Metropolitan Planning Department, and Urban Planner at LRK Architects.
