Highlights
I am thrilled and honored to share that I have been promoted to Managing Director at Deloitte!
This new chapter in my career fills me with immense pride and excitement. There will no doubt be challenges - in this business every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow - and those who know me can attest that my path to this role was not traditional. I am humbled that my colleagues and the firm leadership see that path as exemplary, and that so many have already reached out to congratulate me and to thank me for showing them that often what makes you different also makes you exceptional!
This achievement would not have been possible without the support, guidance, and encouragement from a diverse network of people. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my mentors, colleagues, and everyone who believed in me. Your trust and confidence have been instrumental in my journey.
Alyson Liss. The most important partner in my life. We have earned this together. Thank you!
Timothy Roy - You and I started here just months apart and we have partnered and supported one another to grow design as a capability, and I have learned so much from you. Thank you.
Rohit Tandon - My coach and mentor. You have pushed, prodded, trusted ... and pushed. Many times when I questioned why I belong in this space you encouraged me to continue to be myself. Best advice.
So many more to thank and share my appreciation for. Forgive the mass thanks and know that, to a person, you each have been fundamental to my growth and achievements - I hope someday I can repay the gift in-kind. Richard Starnes, James Hartfield, Jatin Dave, Jim Rowan, Julie Rodriguez, Rick van der Vegte, Justine AbuHaidar, Mani Kandasamy, Ryan Brotman, Ph.D., Brad Stapleton, Brandon Cox, Christine Ahn, Ashwin Patil, Steve Fineberg, Baris Sarer, Todd Beilis, Adam Deutsch, Nick Murphy, Dave Kuder, Lauren Littlefield, Jesse Resnick, Prajwal Paudyal, PhD, Bryan Rokoszak, Donald Brady Hana Shon Graham Allan... there are so many more and if I measured my wealth in friends then I would be a very wealth man (so I think I'll do that).
Thank you all for your support, and I look forward to the journey ahead!
Finally... Aline Pobiner & Bill Pobiner. You are those special parents who still encourage me to find what I love, and then push me to stick with it. Dad ... I can do it, yeah. ;)
A cup of coffee on a Monday morning is an opportunity to discover, and sometimes “the feed” provides (all things in moderation :-) ).
This little clip of Ben Burtt describing the discovery of the Star Wars lightsaber sound through layering and analog experimentation reminds me of the importance of discovery. As we continue to head into the lightspeed void of AI, let’s be sure to keep our ears and eyes open. There’s plenty more to find.
h/t to Tommy Igoe for making the post for me to find.
