A thought experiment for you: why aren’t the campus protesters demanding that Hamas free the hostages?

Have you thought about that?

If they cared about Palestinians they would want peace, and freeing the hostages will end the fighting, so why aren’t they demanding that?

The answer, of course, is obvious: they don’t love peace; they hate Israel.

Why do they hate Israel? Another obvious answer. Antisemitism.

What that aftermath of October 7th has revealed is pervasive antisemitism. Bias against Jews that would not be acceptable toward any other group of people is not even questioned. The demands of the students is a perfect example.

What I am trying to do is normalize speaking out about this hate.

I think, as Jews, we’re often afraid to speak up…we feel like it’s better to keep our mouths shut and wait for it to pass. (And, I think probably other minority groups feel the same way about hate toward them.)

I think the only way we can beat back these mobs of antisemites is to speak out, and to make non-Jews who are not speaking out feel uncomfortable.

It’s the George Floyd lesson: your either actively fighting against hate, or you’re a hater yourself.

You decide.

I was asked recently about managing a team through rapid headcount growth, and that's something I've done a few times, so here are my thoughts on that. I hope you find this helpful. Enjoy!
