Scott Wilks

Scott Wilks is the Associate Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Louisville, a position he has held since 2014. He initially joined the university as an assistant strength and conditioning coach, working primarily with the football program. His career in strength and conditioning began after he played football at Marshall University, where he was a letterman for four years. Following his playing career, Wilks served as a graduate assistant in Marshall’s strength and conditioning program, where he worked with various sports teams including basketball, football, and baseball.12

Before his tenure at Louisville, Wilks worked at Hofstra University as the head strength and conditioning coach, focusing on the men’s and women’s basketball programs. He also spent a season at Marshall in 2012 under Joe Miday, who is now the director of strength and conditioning at Louisville.1

Wilks holds two master's degrees from Marshall University—one in physical education (2008) and another in special education (2009). He is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is certified in first aid and CPR.1
