Do you work in tech or science? Do you want to learn how to impact policy?

The Aspen Tech Policy Hub has a fellowship program for you to do just that. Over 3.5 weeks, you will learn policy, and you will be paid a stipend to defray the costs of your time. Applications are due tonight, March 7.

I did the Hub's first tech policy fellowship in 2019, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to broaden their understanding of how they can impact society.

The mission of the Hub is to bridge the worlds of technology and policy.

The fellowship will take place from June 5-28, 2024 in San Francisco. The Hub is prioritizing applicants with experience in climate, cybersecurity, and emerging tech.

Today, I wanted to share HeroRodeo (https://hero.rodeo), a just-for-fun website I built that enables you (or your kids) to quickly generate superhero trading cards from any word (or words) you provide.

For your word(s), try animals (eg. "raccoon", "chimp") or objects (eg. "banana", "vacuum"). Try mash-ups (eg. "harry potter chipmunk", "elephant ballerina", "giraffe phone") to get even more entertaining results.

You'll get a superhero cartoon drawing and learn the superhero's name, powers, and weaknesses. You'll also get a sharable link.

I built this using the OpenAI API. I used GPT for creating the hero's name and description and DALL-E for producing the hero's image.

Give it a whirl. I hope it makes you laugh or smile. :)
