Sean Vereen, Ed.D., is the President of Steppingstone Scholars, Inc., a non-profit organization in Philadelphia dedicated to creating pathways for educationally underserved students to college and the workforce.

During his tenure, Dr. Vereen has overseen remarkable growth at Steppingstone, increasing student enrollment by 300% to serve 2,000 students, expanding the budget from $1.2 million to $3.8 million, and leading a team of 25 full-time staff members and 100 part-time employees.

He is actively involved in various educational initiatives, serving as Vice Chair of the Mayor's Education Nominating Panel, a board member of the Philadelphia School Partnership, and a member of the Johns Hopkins Access Advisory Board.

Additionally, Sean Vereen is a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, where he teaches in the Higher Education Division and co-instructs an online course on college applications for first-generation students.

His educational background includes a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Rochester, and studies at The George School.
