Sebastian Groh is a dynamic individual dedicated to spearheading the future of energy through the principles of Decentralization, Decarbonization, Disruption, Democratization, and Digitization.

Dr. Groh, a Stanford Ignite Fellow, holds a PhD from Aalborg University and the Postgraduate School Microenergy Systems at the TU Berlin. His doctoral thesis focused on energy's role in development processes, energy poverty, and technical innovations, with a special emphasis on Bangladesh.

As the CEO of SOLshare, Sebastian Groh played a pivotal role in establishing the world's first solar P2P energy exchange platform in rural Bangladesh. He is also an Associate Professor at BRAC University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and has garnered numerous accolades for SOLshare, including the Tech Pioneer '18 by the World Economic Forum, best energy startup title by Free Electrons, and the prestigious Ashden Award in 2020.

Dr. Groh's impressive educational background includes studies in Economics at various renowned institutions such as Universität Göttingen, Stanford University, Harvard Business School, Pune University, Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and Universität Mannheim. He also obtained his PhD from Aalborg Universitet and pursued further studies at Technische Universität Berlin.

Sebastian Groh has held key positions in organizations such as ME SOLshare Ltd., BRAC University, UBS, Ashoka, North South University, Independent University Bangladesh, and ME Fosera Bangladesh, showcasing his expertise in marketing, entrepreneurship, and economics.

His early career involved roles at Banco ProCredit El Salvador, Planet Finance India, MicroEnergy International, and Commerzbank AG. Dr. Groh's impactful contributions have earned him prestigious titles like Ashoka Fellow in 2018, UBS Global Visionary in 2019, and the 2019 Unilever Young Entrepreneurs Award.
