Seija Tyrninoksa is an independent consultant specializing in Humanitarian Affairs with a strong educational background.

She holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Practicing Management from Lancaster University with a Degree with Distinction, a Public Health Nurse (PHN) degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and a State Registered Nurse qualification in Registered Nursing from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.

Seija has an extensive professional history with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), where she held various senior roles across different regions and divisions.

She served as the Special Advisor for MENA Region, Senior Advisor for Membership Consultation on Supply Chain Management and Environmental Policy, Deputy Regional Director for Europe a.i., Head of Country Cluster for Central- and South-Eastern Europe, Senior Advisor for Partnerships Division, Transition Manager for Shared Services and IT, Head of Country Cluster for Western Europe, Senior Advisor for Europe Zone, and more.

Seija Tyrninoksa also worked as the FRC Regional Representative for Southern Africa at the Finnish Red Cross Regional Representation and held positions as IFRC Country Representative in South Africa, Head of Delegation in Cambodia, and Team Leader at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
