Serena Covkin

Serena Covkin is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in nineteenth- and twentieth-century United States history at The University of Chicago. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History at The University of Chicago.

Throughout her academic journey, Serena has held various positions that have contributed to her professional growth. She has served as an Administrative Assistant at the Wexner Foundation and as a Penny Fox Alumni Research and Service Summer Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she has gained experience as an Acquisitions Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania Press and as an Acquisitions and Editorial Intern at the same institution.

Serena's passion for historical research and writing is evident from her diverse internships, which include roles such as Historical Research and Writing Intern at U.S. History Scene and Curatorial Intern at the National Museum of American Jewish History. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Penn Undergraduate Research Mentoring Program.
