Highlights
A lot of what we do at Isomorphic Labs has never been done before - building truly general models of chemistry and biology that move as much of the drug discovery process in-silico as possible, and then using these models to the fullest to design new medicines. The types of large-scale computational experiments that move us forward are only possible on a secure, solid and scalable technology platform. Google Cloud have been a great partner for us since day 0 and their infrastructure platform, massive graphics accelerator fleet, and stellar team have provided exactly the right substrate for us to build technology on top of, fit for purpose for large-scale ML research and exacting production use cases. In this blog post - http://bit.ly/3T4gVTA, I've teamed up with Shweta Maniar to introduce some of the challenges we work on at IsoLabs, talk about how we build ground-breaking ML models like AlphaFold 3, and how we partner with Cloud to increase our research velocity and operate a reliable production environment for our chemists and biologists to design novel molecules in.
Modern ML at scale is impossible without massive hardware fleets, especially when it comes to graphics accelerators. Working in an Alphabet environment means there's a dizzying array of options for various GPUs and TPUs, each optimised for a particular use case. Once you have this expensive hardware, you want to make sure that it's getting the best possible use that it can. At Isomorphic Labs we are running large scale ML model training and inference, and other scientific computing payloads for drug discovery non-stop. I'm looking for a new Technical Program Manager (https://lnkd.in/gvEcKdq5) to help us plan, procure, operate, and maximise the utility of our hardware fleet. The role is available in London.
