Happy 100th Birthday Dr. Henry Kissinger! Although I only spent a short time working for him, his influence not only impacted me but the countless others today who have read and heard his thoughts on geopolitics, society, technology, and the future.
I've been lucky to work for incredible leaders. I never thought I'd get the opportunities to do the things I did after transitioning from the Navy but it was my military service that he thanked me for repeatedly. One thing many may not know about Dr. Kissinger was his commitment to Veterans, especially Vietnam War era heroes. I had the opportunity to witness families who he had visited when he was National Security Advisor express their thanks for the communication and messages he provided to families who had loved ones Missing in Action. As the Kissinger family celebrates the incredible life and legacy of this icon, many will remember the service to our country and duty to the families of the fallen.
