Sessie Burns is a math enthusiast with a passion for using data-driven approaches in international development, particularly in agricultural technology for smallholder farmers in West Africa.

Originally from Finland and raised in the USA, Sessie has a diverse educational background, having studied Accounting, Finance, Linguistics, European Politics, Mathematics, and Studio Art at various institutions including Florida International University, Universit de Strasbourg, Centro Cultural Dominico, Loy Norrix High School, Kalamazoo College, and the University of Michigan.

With a focus on locally-based development solutions and partnership building, Sessie has worked with organizations such as DevGlobal, A-M-Z Group, Farmerline, National Institute of Speech and Hearing, and New Education Highway in roles ranging from Sr. Consultant to Operations Manager and Global Information Engagement Program Fellow.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Sessie enjoys reading a wide range of literature, exploring different cities, and savoring quality coffee in her free time.
