Like many in the media industry right now I am on the hunt for a new role after being made redundant from Seven.
This picture was taken on my first day. I had no idea of the breadth of experience the role would offer me but I was excited to learn and quickly found a new level of respect for people who are willing to put themselves in front of such bright lights and high-definition cameras each day.
My short but sweet time there was full of PR wins big and small, impactful community partnerships and gave me unparalleled insight into the inner workings of the media.
Moments for the memory bank include (but are definitely not limited to); dancing with Sonia Kruger after she won her Gold Logie, receiving dating advice from Marcia Hines, sourcing a dog from the streets of Adelaide for a Gather Round pic op and the tears of joy after yet another record breaking result for the Good Friday Appeal. I even got to (briefly) meet the Prime Minister.
I will always be grateful for the once-in-a-lifetime experiences and truly incredible people I was able to work with in my time at Seven.
Most importantly, it was a true privilege to get to be a part of what I believe is one of the best publicity teams in the country and I can’t wait to see all of the kick ass things they continue to achieve.
Apologies to everyone who I am owing a text back - I took the chance a professional communicator rarely has to turn off my phone and completely disconnect for a little while but I’m making my way through all of the very kind messages I have received!
