Shantanu Kallakuri is a Materials Science graduate from Cornell University with a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering, attaining a GPA of 3.9/4.0.

He has an extensive academic background including studying at renowned institutions in India, the United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia, before completing his education at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, and Cornell University.

Currently, Shantanu is involved in research at the Richard Robinson lab, focusing on Conductive Quantum-Dot Magic Sized cluster superlattices for energy and optical applications, under the co-advisement of Prof. Richard Robinson and Prof. Tobias Hanrath.

His previous research experiences include working on self-assembling soft matter at Prof. Julia Ortony's lab at MIT in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE) and on Catalytic Nanomotors at Harvard Medical School.

Shantanu has a diverse skill set that includes expertise in Semiconductor process flows, thin film modifications, self-assembly processes, synthesis & characterization of various materials such as Quantum Dots, organic semiconductors, and conductive polymers.

He is well-versed in a range of technical tools and techniques including clean room experience, various microscopy techniques, chemical analysis and characterization methods, electrical measurements, CFD simulations, process simulations, 3D modeling and design, and programming in languages like Python, Matlab, and Java.

Shantanu has industry experience through roles like Semiconductor R&D - Process Engineering Intern at Applied Materials Inc., R&D Process Engineering Co-op Intern at Applied Materials, and Process Engineer at Jord International.

His work has been published and recognized on Google Scholar. Shantanu is open to new opportunities starting from June 2021 onwards.
