Sharada Prasanna Mohanty is the CEO and Co-founder of AICrowd, a platform dedicated to organizing machine learning challenges on real-world problems.
During his PhD studies at EPFL in Switzerland, Sharada worked on various Artificial Intelligence projects, including image-based detection of plant diseases and teaching musculo-skeletal models to walk using reinforcement learning. He took a break from his PhD to establish and concentrate on AIcrowd.
Prior to his work at AIcrowd, Sharada was involved in the Theoretical Physics department at CERN, where he contributed to the CERN Public Computing Challenge, an initiative to crowdsource computing resources for physicists at CERN.
Besides his tech endeavors, Sharada Mohanty is also passionate about art and explores using AI research techniques for creative purposes.
He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence & Health from EPFL and has a background in Computer Science and Computational Linguistics from the International Institute of Information Technology.
