Dean/Ballet Mistress at Atlanta Ballet and Performing Fine Arts Consultant

Sharon Story is a highly experienced and accomplished professional ballet dancer with a career spanning over 15 years in prestigious ballet companies such as Boston Ballet and Atlanta Ballet.

She received top-notch training on a full scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet and later pursued further education through a Ford Foundation Scholarship at the School of American Ballet.

Additionally, Sharon has transitioned into a coaching role, mentoring Olympic Ice Dancers and currently coaching both professional ballet dancers and teachers.

With a keen focus on education, Sharon is actively involved in the arts community, serving as an AGMA Union representative and an evaluator for accreditation at the National Association of Schools of Dance. She also contributes to various arts educational boards in the Atlanta area.

Currently, Sharon is deeply engaged in her 13th season of building and nurturing talent at the Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education. Her primary objectives include leveraging her expertise to further enhance the dance profession, guiding dancers towards successful professional careers, and enriching the youth's artistic education.

She played a pivotal role in establishing the Centre for Dance Education alongside the Artistic Director, John McFall, and remains committed to fostering a nurturing environment for aspiring dancers.
