Tech Entrepreneur

Shaun Sales, also known as Shaun Lelacheur-Sales, is a co-founder of Cmune, a game development company based in Hong Kong. He played a significant role in the creation of UberStrike, a popular first-person shooter (FPS) game that was initially launched as Paradise Paintball in 2008. Under his leadership, Cmune developed several games, including DeadHeads and UltraHunt before the company was dissolved in 2020.13

Sales, originally from Australia, co-founded Cmune with Ludovic Bodin from France. The company was established to tap into the Asian gaming market and attract international talent to build a diverse team capable of developing complex games.3 During its peak, UberStrike became the largest FPS on Facebook, boasting over 20 million players and pioneering real-time micropayment systems within browser games.12

Despite the company's eventual closure, Sales' contributions to the gaming industry have been recognized, particularly for his innovative approach to multiplayer gaming and mobile platforms.12
