Shawn D. Baldwin is the Founder and Chairman of the AIA Group, an alternative investment and advisory firm in Chicago, with a background in boutique investment firms and a strong presence in the finance industry.

Before establishing AIA Group, Baldwin founded Capital Management Group (CMG), a boutique investment firm offering investment banking and brokerage services to a range of clients including pension funds, foundations, endowments, and corporations.

Throughout his career, Baldwin has been involved in over 75 corporate capital markets transactions totaling over $68 billion in equity and debt issuance, working with prestigious entities like the New York Stock Exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Travelers, Genworth Financial, and Google, Inc.

Baldwin has also spearheaded biannual economic conferences worldwide, attracting top-tier plan sponsors and institutional investors to deliberate on global markets and macroeconomic trends impacting the investor community, with attendees managing billions in sovereign funds, corporate assets, and global investments.

Before founding CMG, he held leadership roles at Wall Street Strategies, American Express, US Bank, Optima Investment Management Research, and other boutique investment banks. Baldwin is a media contributor to major networks and publications such as CNBC, Bloomberg, CNN, Forbes, and Fast Company.
