Sheila Grudem is an accomplished professional with a strong background in humanitarian aid and international relations.

Sheila holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Columbia University's SIPA, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of the Pacific.

Sheila's career has been primarily focused on her roles within the World Food Programme (WFP), where she has held various key positions over the years.

Sheila currently serves as the Deputy Regional Director at the World Food Programme, showcasing her leadership and strategic capabilities.

Prior to her current role, Sheila excelled as the Senior Emergency Coordinator, Head of Field Office, Deputy Director of the Emergency Preparedness and Response Support Division, Country Director, Chief of Humanitarian Policy and Transitions Service, Deputy Country Director, Humanitarian Policy Officer, and Programme Officer specialized in assisting refugees within WFP.

Before her contributions to the WFP, Sheila gained valuable experience working with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in various roles such as Internally Displaced Persons Officer, Humanitarian Field Officer, Humanitarian Field Adviser, and NGO Liaison.

Additionally, Sheila's early career involved serving as a Community Development Officer with the Peace Corps and teaching as an Elementary School Teacher with the COACHELLA VALLEY UNIFIED SCH.DIST.
