Fun fact: A news story about this very topic is what got me into the CAI field years ago! A lot has changed since then — let’s check it out. 🥳🎓
Year 2 of word nerd summer camp — I mean UNPARSED! Thanks Tom and Kane for bringing the CXD family together once again. Brilliant programming arranged by and for practitioners who rarely hear an accurate summary of our role… much less an entire agenda designed to support it! 🥲🫠 However, as others have noted: We might come for the sessions, but we stay for the connections. What a lovely bunch of weirdos! ❤️
This community is dear to me. Folks here champion/catalyze each other’s success without gatekeeping, and you can always count on finding a listening ear or brainstorm buddy when you need one. I’ve been dealing with some difficult health issues this year, to the point where I wondered if it was even worth it to make the trip in person. I’m very glad I did (ty Dmitry for the push!), and that I had the support I needed to attend while respecting my body’s limits. Y’all are great at welcoming and celebrating a person’s whole self, quirks and all. And although I’m leaving exhausted, I’m also leaving inspired, encouraged, and very very full.
More stories and shoutouts to come!
