Shin Sano is a distinguished professional with a rich background in design research and strategy spanning nearly three decades.

He is the Founder and CEO of the Institute for Creative Integration, a renowned design research and strategy firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Shin Sano is committed to guiding clients towards innovative solutions by offering diverse perspectives shaped by his extensive industry and academic experience.

His educational journey includes studying Scenography, display and fashion design at Musashino Art University, Human-Centered Design Methods at Illinois Institute of Technology, and Textile/Surface Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

He further enhanced his skills by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Informatics at The Graduate University for Advanced Studies.

Shin Sano also honed his leadership and communication abilities through a program on Effective Communication and Leadership Development at the University of California, Berkeley.

Throughout his career, Shin Sano has held various key roles such as Co-Founder and CEO at the Institute for Creative Integration, President at Chorale May, and Design Strategist at COLAB.

He has also contributed his expertise as an Assistant Research Professor at the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology and as a Design Strategist at Calty Design Research, Inc.

Additionally, Shin Sano has valuable experience in corporate settings, having worked as Assistant Manager - CMF Strategy at Toyota Motor Corporation and as an Automotive Designer at the same company.

Currently, Shin Sano continues to make significant strides in the design research and strategy domain, leveraging his diverse background and expertise to drive innovation and offer strategic guidance to clients.
