In today's dynamic world a change isn't always easy. Where product prices, competitive landscape, customer needs, technology & geopolitical scenarios are constantly changing, significantly impacting the organisations.
A bad change management may lead to dissatisfied stakeholders, employee loss, lack of productivity, quality & lot more.
What I've experienced is, a successful change must go through the following checkpoints to be effective & comfortable ✅
- Initiation: Identify the need for change & define objectives clearly.
- Communication: Most crucial is to communicate the cost of no change & inspiring people to lead it.
- Training: Provide training to enable the team to be able to adopt the change.
- Support & Empathy: Assuring support with the "I'm there" mindset makes people's lives easier to adopt a change than being left to anyhow bear it.
- Transparency: Maintain transparency and address misinformation promptly.
- Involvement & Empowerment: Involving teams in decision-making & empowering them to take ownership & communicate without hesitation makes them feel more connected with the new idea.
- Alignment: we need to tell why it is good & how it would be beneficial for the team. At the same time we need to solve the doubt or questions if someone has personal constraints or lack of motivation.
- Celebration & Appreciation: Appreciation /recognition of efforts for a successful change deployment would inspire & encourages the team to be open & enthusiastic about future changes while celebrating the current one.
I'd be happy to know your insights & more strategies below. Let's learn together! 🤝
