Siân Govind is the Director of Global Talent at Auror and the Founder of BeHeard.23 She has over a decade of experience in People & Talent, having worked for some of the world's fastest-growing tech companies such as Uber, Tesla, and New Zealand's Halter.1
Govind's career has been marked by a strong focus on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). Her passion for DEI was born from firsthand experience of the benefits organizations reap when prioritizing it in their growth strategy.1 She spent six years of her career living in the Netherlands, working across five continents and interacting daily with people from diverse backgrounds.1
After returning to New Zealand and starting her family, Govind founded BeHeard. Her mission is to help employers benefit from cognitive diversity while enabling more New Zealanders to experience the rewards of a tech career without the barriers often faced by non-dominant groups.1
Outside of work, Govind is a wife and mother to two young boys. Being part of a multi-ethnic family allows her to enjoy diversity in both her personal and professional life.1
