Sierra Smucker is an accomplished social scientist with a diverse background in conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis. She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Social Policy (Research) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in History, Cum Laude from Occidental College. Sierra furthered her education by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Policy at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University.

She has served as a Policy Researcher at the prestigious RAND Corporation, a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Duke University, and a Voter Insights Researcher with the Liberal Democrats. Her roles have also included positions at the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, Brilliant Club, Duke Atlantic Partnership, UK House of Lords, Precision Health Economics, LLC, and the Feminist Majority Foundation.
