Sim Blaustein is a seasoned professional with a background in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and technology.

Currently a partner at Bertelsmann's corporate venture fund BDMI, Sim focuses on seed and early stage investments in digital media and enterprise software.

During his tenure, he led investments in numerous successful companies and has a keen interest in the future of media, enterprise software, and the creator economy.

Prior to BDMI, Sim co-founded High Line Venture Partners, a seed fund in NYC, and worked on over 30 investments in eCommerce, digital media, and SaaS.

Before his venture capital roles, he held positions in strategy, M&A, and corporate development at IAC, Akamai, and Gabriel Venture Partners.

Sim's educational background includes an MBA from MIT Sloan, where he focused on entrepreneurship and innovation, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union.

He is fluent in German and Spanish, and conversant in Italian and French, with extensive experience studying and traveling abroad.

Sim's expertise lies in developing business plans, evaluating venture investments, creating market landscapes, and business forecasting and modeling.

He has a strong track record in capitalization table and exit modeling, which adds to his proficiency in the field of venture capital.
