Sima Pendharkar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in healthcare leadership, currently serving as the System Chief of Hospital Medicine at Guthrie Medical Group overseeing 5 hospitals and managing a team of over 35 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs).

Sima holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill, showcasing a strong educational background in both clinical and public health domains.

Throughout her career, Sima has held various key positions in prestigious healthcare institutions, including Chief of Hospital Medicine and Medical Director at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, CEO and Founder of Valeet Healthcare, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mt. Sinai Health System, and Hospitalist Physician roles at multiple hospitals.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Sima has also been actively involved in academia and leadership roles, having served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCSF Medical Center, Chair for Council for Early Career Physicians in Northern California at the American College of Physicians, and as an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Resident at Duke University Medical Center.

Her current focus involves optimizing the operational aspects of inpatient clinical medicine at Guthrie Medical Group, where she collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care delivery and provides mentorship to physicians to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
