Simon Bernard is a highly experienced and dedicated professional who has been involved in the medical field since the early 1980s.

He has worked as a doctor internationally till 2000, engaging in recreational, humanitarian, and international public health activities across countries like Senegal, Malaysia, Tahiti, Mexico, Iran, Afghanistan, El Salvador, Yemen, Vietnam, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

From 2000 to 2005, Simon focused on sports medicine, particularly in the fight against doping at an international level under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Since May 2005, Simon has been actively contributing to humanitarian efforts with the French Red Cross, where he serves as the health coordinator, specializing in various programs related to infectious diseases like malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malnutrition, health systems strengthening, and community healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa, including countries like Niger, Mauritania, Chad, Mali, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Republic of Congo, and the DRC.

Simon Bernard's education includes a Master's degree in Public Health from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, diplomas in public and community health from the University of Nancy in France, tropical medicine and global health from the University of Paris VI, sports biology and medicine from the University of Toulouse in France, a doctorate in medicine, and specialization in sports medicine from the Faculty of Medicine de Purpan in Toulouse, along with a diploma in epidemiology from the University of Paris VI.

Currently, Simon holds the position of Health Bureau Coordinator at the French Red Cross and previously served as a Mission Officer for the fight against doping internationally at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the Program Coordinator for the PATS program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo under AEDES/UE.
