I spent the eve of Social Mobility Day at a fantastic event hosted by Making The Leap.
My favourite part of the evening was hearing from the amazing alumni panel who shared their experiences of how the programme had supported them to access and build careers across real estate, finance and consulting.
It was made even better by getting to share the experience with Adetayo Lambo and Chelsea Whelan, co-chairs of Knight Frank's first Social Mobility Employee Resource Group.
As someone from a working class background, it's been important to me throughout my career to widen access for the next generation, just as many incredible people have supported me along my journey.
I can't wait to work with the team at Knight Frank and Making the Leap to do just that.

I recently attended Knight Frank's 'Food & Farmers, Cultivating Culture and Crops' event.
We learned about the connection between Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) through the lens of climate equity from expert Deborah Ajulo, MSc.
We then heard the inspiring stories of 4 trailblazing entrepreneurs:

My key takeaways included the importance of being bold, building relationships with sponsors who can help along the journey, the tenacity required for success especially for founders from backgrounds underrepresented in UK farming and food manufacturing, and the steps needed to widen access.
