When ambition at BharatPe meets leadership at Google it is magical!
Future leaders of BharatPe spent a day at Google campus and came back inspired and ignited to create industry leadership in #Fintech.
Conversations around #Culture and #Leadership forced these young minds to think differently from the routine. They gained clarity on how both of these are interwoven with work. These are no jargons for which the responsibility is with the org leadership or HR. One personal favourite for me was the leadership trait called “bridging gaps”. It struck a chord as it isn’t called “team work” or “collaboration”. In today’s world where ego and personal stance impact work, bridging gaps sounds so appropriate!
And then we explored progress in #genai, it’s use as employee and as business. While many have spoken about the threat of #technology, mundane needs to be handed over to it. Personal favourite here was sentiment analysis of voice calls. I started future-gazing- knowing the level of disengagement of my employee over a call, and then looking at the trend to evaluate their emotional maturity. Adds lot more science to gut.
Thank you Amit Kumar, Ratnakar Reddy, Vaibhav Jain, Jaspreet Singh Narang and Rohit V. for hosting us. You were amazing and like I said in zest “great ambassadors of Google”. You din’t leave any stone unturned in ensuring we see what best is made of!

Networking breakfast with a forward-looking conversation- it’s after quite a few months that I invested in it. Got pulled this time as we were going to discuss the most intrigued, unexplored topic in HR!
“Using Technology for frontline roles”.
While geo-tagging, chatbots, sentiment analysis, profile-crawlers have been in the play for a few years now, personally I am waiting for Virtual Reality and Gen AI to bring a wave of change that will allow for gamification in learning, day to day email management, mundane policy document creation etc. I am also waiting for language translation audio tools for hearty conversations with my employees in far-flung areas. All this will bring about greater personalisation, higher workforce agility and productive utilisation of time.
Various perspectives and deep conversations also left me with a few unanswered questions:
- Organizations that prioritize employees over customers will invest in make-employee-life-easy technology first. In this case there may not be direct/immediate RoI business case. Is that the reason we see slow innovation in or adoption of employee life cycle tools?
- In this era of EQ and mental health gaining centre stage at work, will technology add to distraction and stress?
- There is lot of conversation around customer privacy and data security for these customers. What does this mean for an internal employee where passive listening tools could lead to influencing career choices in the long run?
Happy for #techcommunity, #hrconsulting, #aheadofthecurve, #experts or simply #users, #employees, #businessleaders to share their views! Would love to learn more.
