Sofia Duenas

Sofia Duenas is an accomplished educator with a diverse background in education and leadership.

She holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Urban Education and Leadership from Loyola Marymount University, a Bachelor's degree in Sociological Approaches to Education Policy from Whittier College, and studied High School at Sequoia High School.

Sofia has a strong track record of working with various organizations, including Para Los Niños, where she currently serves as a teacher.

Her previous roles include being an English Teaching Assistant at The Fulbright Program, a Preceptor for Sociology Research Methods at Whittier College, a Field Intern in District 5 at Los Angeles Unified School District, and an Intern at the U.S. Department of Education.

Furthermore, Sofia has gained valuable experience as an Intern at GiftedandTalented.com, a BCM Scholar at Whittier College, and a Marketing & Public Relations Intern at Chabot Space & Science Center.

She has also worked as a Smithsonian Latino Center Young Ambassador at the Smithsonian Institution and as an Administrative Assistant Intern at Aim High.
