Solome Tibebu is a behavioral health strategist with a passion for frontier technologies and innovative solutions in mental health, equity, and access.
She is the founder of Behavioral Health Tech, a leading community dedicated to leveraging technology for expanding access to mental health, substance use, and autism/IDD care.
Solome serves as the founding Fund Director for The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health, a philanthropic initiative supporting youth mental health, particularly adolescents of color and LGBTQ+ youth.
As a scout and venture partner for Andreessen Horowitz and GreyMatter Capital, Solome has extensive experience in investment, entrepreneurship, and non-profit consulting in the behavioral health sector.
Her work has been recognized and featured in prestigious platforms like Harvard Business Review, TEDx, Forbes, and more, highlighting her expertise in behavioral health technology.
Solome has a background in behavioral health and human service consulting, venture capital, and corporate development, demonstrating a diverse skill set and experience in various operational roles.
She is also known for founding and running a mental health tech startup and the non-profit AnxietyInTeens.org, drawing from her personal experiences as a former anxious teen.
Recipient of multiple awards, including the SAMHSA National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health Youth MOVE National Dare to Dream Award and the G20 Summit Young Entrepreneurs Alliance selection, Solome's contributions to youth mental health have been internationally recognized.
Solome Tibebu holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas.
Her previous roles include Senior Fellow for Digital Transformation at Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, Independent Board Director at BeMe Health, and various advisory and leadership positions in notable healthcare organizations and for-profit companies.
