Soni Dasmohapatra, MPA, is a strategic planner, project manager, facilitator, and creative leader with a diverse background spanning various sectors such as government, academia, non-profit organizations, philanthropic organizations, international organizations, and policy think tanks.

Her experience includes roles in management, organizational development, policy analysis, research and evaluation, teaching, curriculum development, public education, stakeholder engagement, and communications.

Soni's areas of expertise cover a wide range of topics including public administration, diversity, social inclusion, immigration, social determinants of health, mental health, early childhood development, youth employment, education, arts and culture, gender equity, social justice, advocacy, human rights, child welfare, poverty reduction, and working with Indigenous communities.

She has actively contributed to community development by serving as a grant reviewer on various committees and volunteering on numerous Boards of Directors.

Passionate about human rights, Soni advocates for the advancement of women, children, youth, and minority communities.

Soni holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Alberta.

Throughout her career, Soni has been associated with organizations like University of Alberta, The Edmonton Shiftlab, Akhanda Yoga, Edmonton Heritage Council, Elevate Consulting Inc., Government of Alberta, United Nations, Safe Spaces Nairobi, DASMO Consulting Inc, George Brown College, Ontario Child Advocate, First Work, Council of Agencies Serving South Asians, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), YMCA of Greater Toronto, Canadian Policy Research Networks, University of Toronto, and HERA Society.

Her roles have included Career Education Coordinator, Social Innovation Core Team Consultant, Grants Coordinator, Consultant, Senior Analyst, Knowledge and Innovation Analyst, Canadian Research Consultant, Yoga Instructor, Director, Professor, Project Manager, Program Manager, Research Associate, Coordinator, and Assistant Program Manager.
