15 year old me, stuck in the endless cycle of weigh-ins and whether I should be an inpatient or not, just wanted to get better.

21 year old me, recently diagnosed with ADHD, was building her first company which had nothing to do with mental health.

At 27, the idea of having this team around me, building the tools I wish were available to me at my lowest, still feels incomprehensible.

Watching this video multiple times reminds me of how fortunate I am to be solving this problem and even more lucky I am to have this team alongside me. I believe you make your own luck and I am so glad mine was building this team.

Within the last 9 months, we’ve endured a pivot, a total team change and a fundraise, and are excited for the next stage of growth together.

** Whilst you make your own luck, we are frankly so lucky to have Marcus Grip James Roycroft-Davis and the team at the The Journey for allowing us to do this!

Today is World Autism day, one of the most misunderstood conditions, particularly in paediatrics. It's also one of the most prevalent with ADHD and ASD having a global prevalence of 7%. 🌍

There is a lot to solve for in the space but here are a key few we are trying to solve.

  1. There are currently 172,022 individuals waiting for autism assessments—an alarming 47% increase from the previous year. If this trend persists, projections indicate that by the end of 2024, over 250,000 people could be awaiting assessment. These escalating waiting lists underscore a pressing need for immediate action. ⌛

  2. The co-occurance of Autism with other mental health conditions is 83%. However, current clinical practise only ever solves for one disorder at a time. 🔗

  3. Families need greater support. The costs of care for autism are often extremely high alongside the emotional support currently lacking for parents. 💰

Kanjo Health is changing the narrative. 📚
