Highlights
Customers are partners.
One of our core philosophies at ThinkLP is ‘Customers are partners.”
It centers on how we view our relationship with our customers.
One of my mentors was MBA professor John Lynch former Governor of New Hampshire and retired CEO of Knoll Inc.
He started his first-class cold calling students:
“What’s the meaning of life?”
Answers came in from students.
No matter their answer, he would respond with:
“Quality is defined by the customer.”
No matter what question he asked that semester, you were correct if you answered with:
“Quality is defined by the customer.”
It was drilled into my head.
It is alive and well today at ThinkLP as our “Customers are Partners” company value.
This is what that means to us:
— Treat customers like partners and make decisions with their best interests in mind.
Approach every product, service, and interaction with a partnership mentality, continuously seeking ways to improve their experience.
ThinkLP is nothing more than a facilitator and tool to help them win.
We collaborate with our customers. We innovate with them.
We help shape the future with their perspective and input.
This is the mentality that sits in every team at ThinkLP.
No matter what your role is, your work connects to the customer.
We constantly seek to put ourselves in their shoes.
—
This is why the TLP team, including myself, visits customers in their stores and offices nearly every week.
As a result, ThinkLP doesn’t build software in a vacuum.
We methodically innovate and drive the future from listening and collaborating with the genius of our customer base.
Their input helps us build solutions for tomorrow.
Nothing is more evident of this than our new AI-powered Crime Linking feature, which is coming to the Case Management space.
We are piloting this feature with some of the most innovative minds in Loss Prevention.
They are part of our team, and we strive to be an extension of their team.

Introducing the 8 ‘Think-losophies’ AKA our company philosophies at ThinkLP.
Typically, company values are built by leadership and handed down to the company.
We didn’t do that.
We heard from everyone in the organization in surveys, interviews and meetings.
And the values that we arrived at were built off that discussion.
We recently launched our our company values, or what we call “Thinkosophies” (ThinkLP + Philosophies!).
Here are the 8 values that we distilled.
1️⃣ Make A Difference
Be a positive force in your teammate's lives, your community, and the world through ThinkLP.
2️⃣ Customers Are Partners
Treat customers like partners and make decisions with their best interest in mind.
3️⃣ Inspire Belonging
Build and be a part of a team where differences become strength.
4️⃣ Believe Big, Start Small
Big innovations stem from big thinking, unwavering belief, and small tests over time.
5️⃣ Follow Through
Consistently deliver on commitments to each other and our customers.
6️⃣ One Team
Operate without silos and lift each other up in pursuit of common goals.
7️⃣ ‘Unruffleability’
Don’t let noise get you ‘ruffled’
8️⃣ Commit to Your Best
Committing to the habits shaping your personal growth and the best version of you.
–
When we launched these, we spent an entire day introducing them.
We talked about how they impact the company on multiple levels:
→ You → Your team → Your company → Your customers → Your world
It’s not just about what we do at ThinkLP, it’s about our impact on the world around us.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll deep dive into each one and unpack the meaning and role they play in our organization.
